Antenna Design

Long gone are the days of design-by-hand. Antennas have progressed far beyond the basic structures they used to be. Most designs done today have to withstand harsh design environments such as cellular phones, car interiors and inside a living tissue.

Additionally, a lot of devices today have multiple Antennas operating in various bands. Active components can cause interference between transmitting and receiving elements. All of these need to be taken into account while approaching a new challenge.

Over the years, I have designed various types of elements in a variety of bands. Each frequency band imposed a different set of problems that had to be addressed. Be it manufacturability issues, unknown dielectric properties of the materials for any frequency, designing for measurement and testing issues and many more.

I have designed for various devices, starting from 900_{MHz} through 80_{GHz}
