KiCAD PCB Layout Simulation With OpenEMS (FDTD)

The holy grail of EM simulation would be an open source CAD and solver.

Firstly, don’t expect this to hold a candle existing, well developed, computational software in the marker. This is a hastily developed tool I made on my laptop. It currently only supports lumped ports and doesn’t allow full manipulation of the model and boundary conditions. I am also working on how to integrate thick metals, although for the current PCBs I am simulating this a non issue.

Simulated results are pending measured verification. Simulated verification may be problematic in the legal aspect.
